This policy describes how NetBlade for Windows (on the Microsoft Store) handles data. NetBlade is developed by Innovatek Software (Innovatek di Cafaro Carmelina). No account is needed and we collect no personal data for our own purposes: we have no server that receives your scans, your devices or your credentials. It is independent of the NetBlade apps for other platforms: they share no data and do not communicate with one another.
Scan data
Scans of your networks (devices, ports, SNMP, inventory, diagnostic tools) run and are processed only on your PC. Results stay in the app's local storage and are never sent to us: Innovatek Software receives no data about your networks.
Exports (CSV, PDF) and sharing happen only when you ask for them, to the destination you choose.
Local storage and credentials
Data lives in a database in the app's private folder (LocalState), which Windows removes together with the app. Passwords — Windows accounts used to read PCs, SNMP, SSH, mail server, webhook secrets — are encrypted with Windows data protection (DPAPI) for your user account on that PC: not even a copy of the folder makes them readable elsewhere. The operating log stays in the same folder and is sent to no one.
What the app does on your network
With the credentials you register, NetBlade reads the PCs and devices on your network (WMI and WinRM, SMB, SNMP, SSH) and, if you turn it on, does so on a schedule from an agent that runs while you are signed in to Windows. Remote actions on a PC (a restart or a command, for example) start only when you start them. Use these features only on networks and machines you are entitled to administer.
Starting with Windows
The app asks to start with Windows so the background agent can run; you can turn this off in Settings › Apps › Startup. The agent never runs before you sign in to Windows.
External services
Only when you use them, a few features contact public services: ipinfo.io for your public IP address and its details; speed.cloudflare.com for the speed test.
Vulnerabilities: once a day the app downloads a public, digitally signed list of vulnerabilities from feed.netblade.app, and the comparison with your programs happens on the PC. The download carries no information about your inventory. This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.
If you ask for it, the app downloads PsExec straight from Microsoft's site (live.sysinternals.com) into its own folder, for remote actions. Email alerts and reports leave from the mail server you configure, to the addresses you choose; webhooks go to the addresses you enter. We are not in between.
Some buttons open a page in your browser — a web search for a service, Shodan for a public address, the NVD entry for a vulnerability: that is your browser visiting the site, as with any link.
Advertising and tracking
NetBlade for Windows contains no advertising and no advertising SDK, and does not track you.
Subscription
The NetBlade Pro subscription (monthly or yearly, with a free trial the first time) is handled entirely by the Microsoft Store. We never receive or store payment data and we do not know who subscribed: there is no server of ours behind the subscription, the app asks the Microsoft Store, on the PC, whether it is active.
Your rights
Since the app's data lives only on your PC, you can delete it at any time by uninstalling the app, which removes its folder. For any privacy request (access, rectification, erasure) write to info@innovateksoftware.com.
